When the Waters Rise Wins Gold At RHS Tatton Park 2011
The garden When the Waters Rise was been created to highlight Oxfam's Grow campaign for better ways to grow, share and live together.
Climate change is affecting millions of people around the world. It is especially harming food production and therefore those who do the majority of the subsistence farming - women.
This garden showcases various methods that are being used across the world to adapt to climate change (focusing especially on how to adapt to flooding) but with a British twist. Special features include floating gardens and specially designed willow baskets that can be raised above the flood line.
